Meet the Owner and Chef
Joyce Spears, the Queen of Cajun herself, was born and raised on a farm in Opelousas, Louisiana. One of nine children, Joyce learned early on how to help prepare meals for large groups of people. She's always had a passion for food and worked her way through college by working in the food service industry both at her alma mater, Southern University and Exquisitos Catering.

After raising two kids with her husband Edward, and working in the education sector for over 25 years, Joyce decided to finally step out and share her gift with the world through the creation of Joyful GGs Catering. She has always been known as a person who radiates joy and her husband lovingly calls her "Glamour Girl" as a nickname, which is what the GG stands for. Her love and joy radiates through every dish that she so thoughtfully prepares.

Joyce has over 40 years experience in the kitchen and specializes in food safety and Cajun cuisine.
